Apart from being a rugby nut who grew up in the rugby hotbed around Bristol, Bath and Gloucester , committee chairman, Jason Walker, Jason is also a well-known local businessman.

An avid Sharks fan, who plays for Macclesfield fourths with the same level of commitment, Jason launched Everydayprint in 2004, since when he has established the company as a leading player in the print and business solutions market. With customers ranging from Arsenal FC and Sale Sharks to Just Search and Beresford Adams, the company's extensive client portfolio is matched only by the range of services it provides to both private and business users.

Away from work and rugby, Jason is married with four children and is a keen scuba diver. He comments: "Time is always pressing but the opportunity arose for me to get involved with Stan's testimonial committee, how could I possibly decline?"

"Players come and go but whatever happens throughout the rest of Stan's career, he will always be remembered as one of the greatest try scorers the game has ever seen. It is a great honour for me to be the chairman of his testimonial committee and I'm looking forward to playing my part as we make this a year to remember for him and all fans of Sale Sharks."

Assured Events are an event management company based in the heart of Cheadle. They can arrange anything from conferences to teambuilds, director's away days, parties, incentive trips, product launches and family fun days. They work with local and national clients and bring a ‘can do' attitude to the projects they handle. Their aim is to deliver event management for client peace of mind.

Karl Perry is the founder and MD of Assured Events. He has over 16 years of servicing clients either in a marketing or event-managing capacity. When not working, thinking about work or travelling because of work, his young family keeps him busy along with the never-ending task of refurbishing the family home!

Paul began his career in an industry environment initially specialising in systems and procedures and was part of a team that earned the ISO 9002 accreditation. He then moved into Operations roles, managing teams in excess of 50 staff. By the time Paul was 22 he became Financial Controller for the company with annual turnover in excess of £30m.

Paul left industry to work in practice for a niche firm of Chartered Accountants based in Stockport. Here he performed audit, accounts and tax compliance work, various tax planning roles and quasi financial directorship roles for a variety of SME's. Paul specialised in added value type work for the firms client base. For the final year he managed the roll out of a nationwide franchise on behalf of a large multinational company. In 2002 Paul became ACCA qualified accountant.

More recently Paul is Financial Director of Just Search Limited, and has been integral in the companies recent success. He advised on the recent deal to sell to Getupdated Internet Marketing (listed on the Swedish stock exchange) for a deal in excess of £14m, and has subsequently retained his position on the board of Just Search and been appointed onto the board of Getupdated in the UK.

He is actively involved on the board of a number of companies, providing all round business and commercial advice to many, not least to Zuzu Couture fashions and Escape bars which are part of the Sedulo group of companies. He has recently been appointed on the testimonial committee of Sale Sharks and England international rugby player, Steve Hanley.

In his spare time, Paul is a keen sportsman, he enjoys spending time with his family, reading and travelling.

Jon Becker is the Operations Director of The Icarus Partnership.

In 1980, aged 21, he became the youngest theatre General Manager in the UK (Apollo Theatre Manchester), and successfully managed one of the country's leading concert venues through the busiest period in its history, progressing to senior level within the Apollo Leisure Group.

He was a Director of Baxters Travel Service Ltd (a chain of independent travel agencies in the West Lancs region) from 1984 through to the mid 1990s.

In his spare time (although Jon says he never has any!) Jon watches his beloved Everton, is a keen swimmer and enjoys nothing more than a walk in the park with his dog Byron.

I am retired and am Vice Chairman of the Sale Sharks Supporters Club.

I have been a season ticket holder with Sale since 1992 and have experienced many ups and downs whilst watching the club. During this time I have watched many fine players turn out for Sale , but there has been no finer sight than seeing "Stan" turn on the gas and slide in at the corner for another exceptional try. He is a legend for his try scoring capability and is the all time leading try scorer in the Premiership. Indeed one of the corners of the homely Heywood Road pitch became known as "Hanley's Corner".

Last year "Stan" was inducted into the Supporters Club Hall of Fame. This was a reward that was richly deserved and shows the high regard in which he is held by Sale supporters. Sitting on his testimonial committee gives me the opportunity to represent the supporters and to help organise events that will enable us all to say thank you and to give something back to "Stan" for his years of service and the pleasure he has given us all.
